GDS 1: Pt. 1: 1990 Requirements for the Labelling of Commodities – General Principles Compulsory 

Describes general labelling requirements for commodities. Applicable to all commodities which are customarily labelled in the course of trade except those for which more specific requirements have been prescribed.(A) 

 

GDS 1: Pt. 2: 1990 Specification for the Labelling of Commodities - Labelling of Pre - packaged Goods 

Compulsory

 

Sets out the requirements for the information to be included on labels of pre-packaged goods for retail sale, the method of display of such information and where necessary, the wording and units of measurement to be used.(B)

 

GDS 1: Pt. 3: 1990 Specification of all Products Manufactured from Textiles 

Compulsory

 

Looks at the basic labeling requirements for garments and other products manufactured from textiles.(A)

 

GDS 1: Pt. 4: 1992 Specification for the Labelling of Commodities – Labelling of Pre-packaged Foods 

Compulsory

 

Applies to the labeling of all pre-packaged foods to be offered as such to the consumer or for catering purposes and to certain aspects relating to the presentation thereof.(A)

 

GDS 1: Pt. 5: 1992 Specification for Care Labelling of Textile Articles 

Compulsory

 

Establishes a system of graphical symbols intended for use in the labelling of textile articles to provide information on procedures for restoring of creased or soiled textile articles.(A)

 

GDS 1: Pt. 6: 1997 Labelling of Retail Packages of Cigarettes 

Compulsory

 

Specifies the information, method of display of such information and the wording and presentation of a health warning to be included on the labels of retail packages of cigarettes intended to be sold.(A)

 

 

GDS 1: Pt. 7: 1999 Specification for Labelling – Labelling of Pesticides and Other Toxic Chemicals 

Compulsory

  

Specifies the information to be included on labels of pesticide packages intended for the retail trade and the information to be included in the instructions printed on any leaflets accompanying the package.(B) 

 

GDS 1: Pt. 8: 1999 Specification for the Labelling of Domestic Electrical Appliances Compulsory 

 

Specifies the labelling requirements for domestic electrical appliances at the point of entry in Grenada, where such units are displayed, offered for sale and are at the point of sale in Grenada.(A)

Details labeling requirements for animal feeds and shall be read in conjunction with GDS 1: Pt. 1: 1990 Specification for Labelling of Commodities – General Principles (A)

 

GDS 2: Pt. 1: 1990 Code of Practice for Packaging – Factors Influencing the Selection of Packaging 

 

Provides a source of information on the methods and materials used in packaging and provides guidance as to how they should be selected and used.(C)

 

GDS 3: Pt. 1: 1990Code of Practice for General Principles of Food Hygiene: Food Production

Provides a basis for establishing codes of hygienic practice for processing of individual food commodities.(A)

 

GDS 3: Pt. 2: 1993 Code of Hygiene for the Preparation and Sale of Street-Vended Foods

Contains a series of requirements and practices to be observed in the preparation and consumption of street-vended food and beverages. (A)

 

GDS 3: Pt. 3: 1999 Code of Hygienic Practice for Poultry Processing   

This code is concerned with poultry, poultry carcasses, poultry parts and other edible materials which have not yet been treated in any way to ensure their preservation, except that they have been chilled or frozen and are intended for human consumption, whether by direct sale as such or through further processing.(B)

 

GDS 4: Pt. 1: 1996 Quality Management and Quality Assurance Standards: Guidelines for Selection and Use  

Clarifies principal quality-related concepts and the distinctions and interrelationships among them. (B)

 

GDS 4: Pt. 2: 2003 Quality Management Systems – Requirements  

(ISO 9001:2000)Specifies requirements for a quality management system where an organization needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products that meets customers and applicable regulatory requirements.(B)

 

GDS 4: Pt. 3: 1996 Quality Systems – Model for Quality Assurance in Production, Installation and Servicing (ISO 9002: 1994)

Specifies quality system requirements for use where the supplier’s capability to supply a conforming product to an established design, needs to be demonstrated. (A)

 

GDS 4: Pt. 4: 1996 Quality Systems – Model for Quality Assurance in Final Inspection and Test

(ISO 9003: 1994) Specifies quality system requirements for use where a supplier’s capability to detect and control the disposition of any product nonconformity during final inspection and test, needs to be demonstrated. (A)

 

GDS 4: Pt. 5: 1996 Quality Management and Quality Systems Elements – Part 1: Guidelines

Provides guidelines on quality management and quality system elements. (C)(ISO 9004-1)

 

GDS 4: Pt. 6: 2003 Quality Management System Guidelines for Performance Improvement

Provides guidelines beyond the requirements given in ISO 9001 in order to consider both the effectiveness and efficiency of a quality management system and consequently the potential for improvement of the performance of an organization.(ISO 9004: 2000)
